If you are renting the house McCarthy Lake House standard accommodation is  4 bedrooms each with one bed: 2 x King, 2 x Queen beds. This can accommodate up to 8 people. In addition to that we can accommodation additional people on sofa beds and 2 single beds – the Maximum is 12.

Maleny has such an array of wonderful restaurants.

Right in the township (2.5km away) you can eat the monthly special  at Maleny Hotel for approx  $20 a head – They have a complimentary bus, Friday night at Finbars-great Pizza and usually some music, Monday night at the Upfront Club – meals around $20 and wonderful music. The Old Bank Cafe right in the centre of town has Thursday night taco nights and also very good a la carte. For more refined eating – Spicers Tamarind (3km) has a Thai theme and the chef’s there are wonderful.
Further out through town we have Maudy’s at Witta (10km) which is worth a drive before the sun goes down so you can see the valley and the magnificent mountains.

At Mary Cairncross Corner (5km East) you can choose between African food @ Key Restaurant Maleny . They do a Friday night banquet for $40 a head  and they also have a shuttle bus,  Thai Takeaway, Terrace Seafood Restaurant whose seafood banquet is very special.

Mary Cairncross Reserve – just around the corner  is a nice brisk walk with a footpath all the way ( 20 minutes) or you can drive there and stroll around the rain forest before or after you have eaten. The chance to eat and look out over the Glasshouse Mountains is very special. Popular in all weather.

If you are after the more traditional then head into town and starting from the bottom of the street we have Maple 3 on your left, on the right is Shot Gun Expresso up past IGA on the same side and then Monica’s on the left further up again.
