We would like to thank you for the weekend, the Lakehouse was beautiful and suited our requirements for our sons wedding as it was situated so close to the venue and as all of family & friends came from out of state we could have a lovely get together the night before the wedding without disturbing anyone. Your hospitality and the facilities were second to none and if ever we needed to stay in the area again we would definitely book in to the McCarthy Lakehouse.

Jennifer made my Husband and I feel very welcome. It was an extremely wet time while we were there and she kindly made provision for us (6 guests) should we be flooded in by purchasing bbq packs. We truly appreciated the gesture, even though we were able to get out as planned. The home has very large bedrooms and the outlook was lovely. The grounds and pool were lovely. It is a quiet location

We stayed at with Jennifer during the recent cyclones in QLD. Jennifer made us feel extremely comfortable in the accommodation, kindly offering to cook us a meal when we arrived. The accommodation was roomy, so even though there was 4 other guests staying, we all had our own space. The bed was comfortable and we had a very pleasant stay. The grounds are beautiful and it is a lovely place to relax.

We really liked to stay at McCarthy Lake House. We felt so relaxed it was hard to leave. Our host Jennifer was very welcoming and our room was just great, so we could immediately feel at home! The Maleny township and the surrounding area (incl. Glasshouse Montains) are very close. So we would definitely stay again and would recommend this place to anyone!

Jennifer’s home is set between two tree lined lakes in the countryside near Maleny. Its a beautiful and quiet location, full of trees and birds. A cool haven on a hot sticky summer day. Our host Jennifer was very welcoming and made us at home immediately. McCarthy Lake House is a very homely and relaxing place to stay. A lovely idyllic place, with nice swimming pool to relax after a long day. We had full use of facilities and enjoyed our stay. It is close to Maleny township and surrounding area, including beautiful Glasshouse Mountains. We would certainly stay again.

Right from the start Jennifer was very helpful; she promptly answered my pre booking questions and she was available throughout. When we arrived she made us a cup of tea and made us feel at home. She is a friendly, warm and relaxed host and we felt very welcome in her lovely home. Our room was attractive, airy and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The garden setting here is lovely, with the lake and water birds and a great pool area. Jennifer supplied everything we could need from nice soaps to sunscreen available at the pool. The environment is tranquil and quiet, and a very short drive from Maleny and botanic gardens. The surrounding countryside is stunning. I would recommend Jennifer’s place to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

We felt very comfortable and really appreciated your friendly relaxed manner, and the fact that your house was always open. It was good to have the fridge to store our breakfast food and it was nice just chatting with you.
Jennifer’s place was exactly what we needed. A lovely large bedroom, very comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a friendly host. The pool looked so lovely but it was raining and we didn’t get a chance to hop in. We loved our stay! Close enough to drive to Woodford for the folk festival, as we did. Thanks for having us Jennifer!

Thanks Jennifer for being a great host. We were warmly welcomed and shown around. She made us feel at home – offering the use of the sitting room and kitchen while we visited. The property is in a Great location to see Maleny or visit family and friends- close to town in a quiet and relaxing setting. The room was comfortable with its own entrance – all in all – a place to unwind and relax.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay with Jennifer in her spacious house in Maleny. Entering the property felt like driving onto a secluded island surrounded by lakes! The “Autumn room” had ample space, a comfy bed and ensuite bathroom – the handmade soaps were a lovely touch. When we weren’t out celebrating our friends’ wedding and walking local rainforest paths, we were happy to relax by the pool, make use of the kitchen and lounge, and become friends with Jasper the cat. Jennifer was very welcoming and an easy-going yet eager-to-please host. A great spot to stay!

Jennifer made us feel very welcome. She was always available and obviously wanted us to have a pleasant stay. She frequently checked that we were happy and said she could alter arrangements if necessary. (They weren’t) The property was in a lovely setting, with a lake and lots of wildlife, only 5 minutes drive from the centre of Maleny.

Jennifer was friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay. We were in Maleny for a wedding and the shuttle bus had no problem finding us. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were lovely. My only regret was not bringing my togs for a swim in the gorgeous pool!

Jennifer’s Maleny property is tranquil and set in the most beautiful surroundings. Jennifer gave us a lovely warm welcome and was a wonderful host. If you are staying here imagine you are sleeping over at a friend’s place for the night in their country home. A welcoming and comfortable country retreat.

We booked to stay at Jennifer’s for the night because we were going to a wedding just around the corner. It was a pity we couldn’t stay with her longer, we would have enjoyed exploring her garden and watching all the birds by the lakes. From initial contact through to our departure, Jennifer was most helpful and welcoming – she gave us good directions, arranged for us to book in earlier and was there to greet us on arrival. We were running late, realised we would not make it to the courtesy wedding guest bus so Jennifer kindly took us to the bus stop and made sure we made it in time. Thank you Jennifer! Her house is attractively set amongst lakes and trees and is quiet and private. The room is more than spacious, the bed massive and extremely comfortable with good quality linen and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of birds and no traffic. Yes, the bathroom is shared but we knew that (Jennifer was quite clear about it in her email) and it was not an issue for us. There are plans for future renovations which sound great. We’d be happy to stay there again!

Beautiful grounds – some great photo opportunities down by the lake. The house is spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bedroom was quiet and comfortable. It’s a short drive to the centre of Maleny. Jennifer left us tea, coffee, and milk which were very welcome. I’d recommend this house.

Jennifer was lovely and the house was enormous and very comfortable with everything you could need provided. Jennifer was happy to help us with anything we needed and dropped us to the wedding reception venue which was exceptionally helpful and generous. We wish we could have stayed longer and relaxed, the grounds were lovely and the whole place was neat, tidy and clean. Very enjoyable.

Ours was a flying visit. Just one night to attend a wedding at Maleny Manor. Jennifer is a lovely host and has a lovely home in a beautiful location. The room is big and had everything we needed and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is shared but is also large and clean. Jennifer offers breakfast for a small fee but we decided to have breakfast in the beautiful town of maleny. I would be very happy to recommend to anyone.

If you are attending a wedding nearby or just looking to get away… This place is for you! This was my first airbnb experience & I’m afraid the bar may have been set so high that future stays will only disappoint! Jennifer is a lovely host & went above & beyond what I would expect (with hot soup on arrival & the offer of a lift to the nearby wedding venue). She makes you feel very much at home & is the kind of person you can sit & chat to or will leave you alone if you just want to do your own thing. The room is clean, spacious & private with a beautiful big bed. The bathroom is shared with other house members but that is no issue. The house is located on a lovely tranquil property that would have been nice to relax at had I not just been coming for an o/night stay. Would definitely stay again

Jennifer is lovely and welcoming. We were her first guests with air bnb and she was happy to help with anything and eager to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was very big and the bed and pillows were very comfortable, great night sleep! You share a bathroom, so not good if you do not want this style of accommodation, but we didn’t mind it. Maleny is beautiful and this was a good accommodation option for our one night stay seeing the area.
